Morgan Walker
Post-Conviction and Criminal Appeals Attorney · Blizzard & Zimmerman Attorneys
Morgan Walker helps people in Texas who have already been convicted, and the families standing behind them. She handles direct appeals, 11.07 writs of habeas corpus, federal habeas petitions and parole representation, and she helps former clients clear their records once a case is behind them.
Morgan is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Northern District of Texas, and she represents clients in state and federal courts across Texas. Her focus is simple: making sure every client receives the protections the Constitution guarantees, even after a guilty verdict.

Criminal Appeals, Writs and Parole in Texas and Federal Court
A conviction or a long sentence is not always the final word. Morgan reviews what happened at trial and sentencing, finds the legal issues that can be raised, and explains in plain language whether relief is possible and what it would take.

Clearing Your Record and Moving Forward
A criminal case can follow someone long after it ends, showing up on background checks for jobs, housing and licenses. Morgan helps clients use the tools Texas law provides to limit that damage.
Record relief and life after a case
- Expunctions to erase eligible arrests and charges from your record
- Orders of non-disclosure to seal eligible records from most public background checks
- Release from sex offender registration requirements, when the law allows it
- Early termination of probation
- Occupational driver’s licenses after a license suspension

Clear Answers for Clients and Families
Post-conviction law is technical, and families often trying to understand it from outside prison walls. Morgan explains the legal concepts behind each case clearly, so clients and their families can make informed decisions about what to pursue.
Her family jokes that she went to law school so she could get paid to argue. Her real goal is to be the person her clients can count on to stand up for their rights, especially when the system has already said no to them once.
| Case type | Result |

Every case is different. Outcomes depend on the facts and law involved, and prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
